Admissions Policy

We are always pleased to hear from parents who are interested in bringing their children to our school and we try to do our best to make the admissions process as easy as possible. We encourage and welcome all parents to look around and to have a chat before deciding on the school. The Local Authority offers a free part-time Nursery place to every child, at the beginning of the academic year following their 3rd birthday, and at the VP this is provided on the basis of 5 mornings, of 2.5 hours each, per week. Admission to our Nursery class does not guarantee admission to our Reception class or full time education. Parents will be required to complete a separate application during the appropriate admission round. Children begin statutory full time education, from Reception class, in the September following their 4th birthday. If you wish to transfer your child from another school, you are requested to contact the Admissions Department of the L.A. for confirmation of availability.
